Immigration Advice in Hyndburn

As of 4th Feb 2015  this service is no longer available.

Immigration Issues?

Hyndburn and Bolton and District Citizens Advice Bureaux are working together to improve access to help for immigration problems.

There is a drop in at Scaitcliffe Community Centre on alternate Thursdays starting 6th November 2014.

All initial advice and assessment is free for clients whether they are eligible for Legal Aid or not. To receive immigration advice under Legal Aid, there are very strict criteria. So up until now those people who do not meet the criteria have been unable to receive help from Citizens Advice. Now, people not eligible for Legal Aid who need help will be able to pay Citizens Advice to help them. This ensures they are able to access good quality, impartial, confidential and independent advice on a not for profit basis. The pricing structure for this immigration advice has been developed making sure all charges are made on a not for profit basis in line with the Charity Commission’s strict regulations.

Scaitcliffe Community Centre is on Hannah Street in Accrington, BB5 0QX.

Telephone 01254 386285.

They are open from 9am – 5pm.
