The Big Bike Revival is two fun weeks of family-friendly events taking place at bike recycling centres across the country from 23rd May – 7th June 2015. It’s all designed to help you get that unloved bike back into use, learn how to look after it for yourself and rediscover how much fun cycling can be.
In Hyndburn, Prospects Environment Centre have linked in to this scheme and are asking people to ‘Think Globally, Cycle Locally’. They are offering:
- people over 16, eight hours of FREE cycle training via the Lancashire County Council scheme.
- short, slow group rides for beginners and improvers some for families or ladies only
- bike hire – both ladies and men’s
- Go Velo cycling sessions
- Dr Bike sessions – experienced cyclists and mechanics check over your bike’s wheels, brakes, gears, tyre pressure, lights, racks, pedals, saddles an more
