If you want to help the Hyndburn Advice Network to provide this valuable service, why not volunteer with one of the partners. You will be part of a dynamic and creative team and gain valuable experience and training in the advice sector and your CV will be enhanced. Look at the information below for your routes into volunteering with the Hyndburn Advice Network

 

Citizens Advice Hyndburn

You can ask for an application pack from the bureau, or apply via the Citizens Advice website. We ask for a minimum commitment of 6 hours per week for at least 3 months. In return, you will be fully supported and trained in a variety of roles.

We are recruiting volunteers for the following roles:

  • Reception and administration
  • Face to face and telephone assessor roles
  • Advice roles

 

Age UK Lancashire

Do you enjoy helping others and like meeting new people?

Volunteer for your local Age UK, giving information and advice to older people.

While helping others you can also develop new skills, improve your career prospects, make new friends and boost your confidence.

Maundy Relief Trust

Call in to Maundy Relief for a volunteer application form. We are currently looking for people to give advice in client’s homes as part of our outreach project. Full training and support will be given.

Lancashire Women’s Centre

Volunteers are at the heart of our centres. If you want to get involved, meet new people, learn new skills or rediscover old ones.

If you have:

  • Time to Spare?
  • Want to meet new people?
  • Always wanted to support others?
  • Interested in developing a career in Health and Social Care or Support Work?
  • Lost confidence in your abilities through changing circumstances or experiences

Then volunteering at Lancashire Women’s Centres might be for you.

We rely on our able team of volunteers and we couldn’t run the service without them. All we ask is for a commitment of one day each week.  We have many roles on offer in Accrington from Support Volunteers to Charity Shop Volunteers, to Sessional Support Mentors.
